David Adedeji Adeleke popularly known by his stage name ‘Davido‘ is a Nigerian artist wiht his acronym OBO which in full stands for ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ (OBO), He is also known as Davido, Baddest, and OBO.
At Oakwood University, David started out in the music industry. After releasing his second hit, “Dami Duro,” Davido became well-known. The Nigerian musician is the recipient of various honours and awards.
Early Life and Career of Davido
On November 21, 1992, David Adeleke was born into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Adedeji Adeleke in Atlanta, Georgia, in the US. In Nigeria, Davido’s father is a well-known investor and businessman.
At a young age, Davido lost his mother Veronica Adeleke.
Davido attended the British International School in Lagos, Nigeria’s Victoria Island. Later, he was granted entrance to Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama, where he would study business administration.

He chose Babcock University in Ogun State after consulting with his father, and in 2015 he earned a first-class degree in music.

‘Dami Duro’ by Davido was released on October 30, 2011. Shizzi and Dami Duro collaborated on the song’s production.

The song eventually got popular in Nigeria and was played on almost all media platforms, giving Davido his big break.
Under the HKN Music Record Label, Davido released his debut album Omo Baba Olowo (Child of a Wealthy Person) in 2012.

The HKN record label was founded by Davido and his brother Adewale Adeleke. Today. Later, Davido walked away from the HKN record label to run his own show.
In 2016, Davido established his current record company, DMW. After joining Sony Music, Davido launched it.
